Losing weight can sometimes feel so complicated and time consuming.


Let's be honest, when you're searching for ways to lose weight, it really only takes about 3 minutes (or even less) on Google to become overwhelmed with all of the information that's out there.


It really can get so discouraging because by the end of your search, you're literally mentally exhausted from everything you've seen and possibly learned.


Well, we want to truly simplify things for you.


We know researching ways to lose weight can get overwhelming and discouraging and you probably don't even know where to start.

5 Tips To Lose Weight


Drink Water

Yes we know. We know that you know. But we had to say it.


Drinking more water will dramatically change things for you in a more positive way.


Why?


Because, drinking plenty of water will help you keep your body hydrated and it will also flush toxins out of your system.


It's also a great idea to drink at least a glass of water when you have a hunger pain. You know, when your stomach growls but you're not "starving" yet.


We also know that just by drinking water alone you're not going to reach the weight that you're trying to achieve but it's certainly a great start.


Limit the Fast Food

Yes, we said it. Limit, not cut out.


We believe it's unrealistic to absolutely cut out fast food.


It's not impossible and people do cut out fast food entirely but we feel that it would be irresponsible for us to place such a daunting task on you.


To tell you to cut out fast food forever, well, we just can't.


However, if you feel that you're currently eating too many processed foods, start by cutting your intake of those foods by at least half, immediately.


Fast food, pre - processed foods, and processed foods are all loaded with sodium and preservatives.


So, your best bet is to eat those meals in moderation and when you do, do your best to find the ones that have the least amount calories and better yet, the least amount of sodium and preservatives too.


Eat More Fruits and Vegetables

We know, we know, now we're sounding like a parent.


But there is merit in eating more fruits and vegetables.


They're packed full of natural vitamins and minerals that our bodies need to function at an optimum level.


You know this.


Think about those times when you haven't been eating the best and most nutritious foods.


How did you feel?


Sluggish? Tired? Low on energy?


Maybe that's how you feel right now. Maybe at this exact moment you're feeling sluggish, tired and low on energy.


Well, if you have some fruit or vegetables in the fridge, grab some.


Do your best to make it a routine to grab fruit and vegetables instead of chips and chocolate.

Pick One

What we mean by pick one is, if you're seriously thinking bout losing weight, do your best to just focus on one task at a time.


The biggest reason so many people fail at losing weight is that they try to do too much to fast.


So try this, think about the worst habit that you have as it pertains to your health.


Is it eating too much junk food?


Is it not being active enough?


Is it smoking, or drinking too much soda?


Whatever that is for you, pick that too start, and only that.


Work on your worst habit first because that's going to give you the best result faster.


So lets say you drink too much carbonated drinks like Pepsi or Coke, do your best to cut your intake of those drinks in half to start.


Once you feel that you have a handle on that, then move onto to the next bad habit that you have as it pertains too health.

Picking one thing to focus on from the outset can make things less overwhelming for you.


Get More Exercise

We say "get more" exercise because hopefully at this point you're already getting some exercise.


And we're talking some, like walking in a mall or going to the grocery store. etc.


Now, you just need to do more of that..well, maybe not the actual shopping part but the walking and moving part.


You need to keep your body moving if you want to keep your body moving.


The more sedentary you are, the more your body will give you a hard time when you try to move.


There are literally hundreds, maybe even thousands, of ways you can keep your body moving. It doesn't have to be difficult or boring.


Find things you enjoy doing and then do them daily. Keyword being enjoy.


We also understand that most times there just doesn't seem to be enough hours in the day but your health is important so you will have to find time in your day.


Typically there are several other things that you might be involved in that are not as important as your health.


Do your best to replace those non-essential activities with healthy activity like walking around your neighborhood and simply jogging in one spot for 7 minutes.
